General Announcement: Students, please utilize your ScenicView email address as a form of communication between you and staff members, as it is one of the fastest ways to get information to you. If you have problems accessing your account, please follow-up with your service coordinator for help.
Guidelines: Please take a moment and review the guidelines below for use of the Student Activity Room, Checking out recreation equipment, and use of the Boredom Book.
ACTIVITIES REMINDER: We need at least three people to sign-up for an activity in order for that activity to happen. If you have questions about this, please speak with a Rec. Therapist.
When signing up for an activity, please remove the clipboard from the bulletin board and flip through the pages until you find the activity you are looking for.
We do not want any of the sign-up sheets to go missing or get placed out of order, so please do not remove individual sign-up sheets from the clipboards they are on.
If you have questions about an activity while you are signing up or looking through the sign-up sheets, then please come speak with a Rec Therapist or one of the Rec Therapy Interns.
Keep in mind that what you see is NOT what you get. Just because a sign-up sheet is not on the front of the clipboard does not mean that it is not on that clipboard. Please flip through each of the pages before giving up and thinking an activity does not exist.
How to check out items. You need to meet with a Rec. Therapist when you check something out. You can check out sports equipment, games, and other items.
How to access the Student Activity Room. There are laminated sheets in the SAR with the rules on them. We just ask that you be respectful of each other. In the evenings, you need to sign up in the HSW office in order to access the room.
ScenicView Academy Student Group on Facebook. We encourage you to join that group to get more information on community events.

If you need a yellow transportation slip signed, please get in contact with Sam. Sam is now the only one authorized to sign yellow slips. Also, be aware that we will be cutting back on the amount of yellow slips that we sign. Students will be required to find a driver and have their signature before presenting the yellow slip to Sam. Be aware that Sam may decline to sign your yellow slip. **WE NEED ALL STUDENTS TO GET A BUS PASS. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A BUS PASS OR YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH HOW THE BUS SYSTEM WORKS, PLEASE TALK TO SAM ASAP!**
Beginning in Summer term, there will be a shuttle service that goes to several different locations. These include Smith's Food and Drug in Orem, Timpanogos Station for the UTA, Walmart Neighborhood Grocery Store in Provo, and then down Freedom Blvd to Front Runner. This will allow ScenicView students to go to different places later each evening when the shuttle is scheduled. This may give more opportunities to socialize away from ScenicView.
Regular Room Checks will be every 2nd Saturday. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN!! Some Room Checks are held weekly and some every two weeks. Alternative times are available by Sign Up in the HSW office.
Do your taxes ASAP. It is rare, but sometimes criminals will file your taxes for you hoping to collect your tax return for themselves. The sooner you do your taxes the less likely that will happen to you! If you need help filing your 2016 taxes look into using the United Way. Their website is: http://utahtaxhelp.org
PLEASE let your Service Coordinator know when your contact information, such as your cell phone number, etc, changes.
PLEASE DO NOT LOAN MONEY TO NOR SOLICIT MONEY FROM OTHER STUDENTS!
If you are your own payee for Social Security benefits, remember to send your pay stubs to Social Security ASAP. Not reporting your wages can lead to you having to return money to the government. If you have any questions, ask Sarah Heuser.
SPECIAL NOTE: If you have a concern or a conflict with someone at ScenicView, it is best to resolve the conflict with the individual directly. If you feel uncomfortable doing so, you may involve an appropriate staff member to help you. Please do not gossip about the person you have a conflict with.

The goal is to get Utahns to donate to their favorite caues, and we are hoping to make ScenicView their favorite cause! Every donation made from this site (see link below) is entered to win a 3 year lease on a new Subaru Impreza. We know not everyone can afford to make a donation, but you CAN help us get the word out. Tell your friends, family, or social media audience what makes ScenicView great! Share the link! Here is the link:
